ON FOUNDATION

The ON Foundation follows its mission to advance the field of orthoregeneration by:

    • Promoting research and discovery in the field of orthopedic tissue regeneration including the use of biologic therapies to drive innovation and develop improved patient-centered treatment solutions.
    • Providing guidance, education and knowledge for surgeons to improve clinical practice within orthopedic tissue regeneration and biologic therapies.
    • Fostering a network of young professionals, experts, societies, industry and decision makers to advance the field of orthopedic tissue regeneration. Collaboration is key to the ON Foundation.
    • Helping the patient by driving innovation, setting standards, providing education and sharing information. 

 

ICORS has defined its purposes and responsibilities as follows:

    • Promote orthopaedic and musculoskeletal research, including the fields of engineering, biology, and clinical research.
    • Interface with the ORS and other member organizations to enhance international collaboration and programming, including the Annual ORS meeting.
    • Support the development of new Orthopaedic Research organizations globally.

Both organizations share the objectives to promote, support, develop and encourage research in surgery and musculoskeletal disease and disciplines related thereto; to provide, support, develop and organize educational activities related to the foregoing, and to provide a forum for dissemination of knowledge in the fields. ON, and ICORS aim for innovation, collaboration and partnership and agree to collaborate as described hereafter.

 


ICORS

The International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies (ICORS) serves as an alliance of societies to promote basic, translational, and clinical musculoskeletal research worldwide. The Combined Meeting was launched in 1992 and has convened every three years since On October 15, 2013, at the 8th Combined Meeting of the Orthopaedic Research Societies hosted by the European Orthopaedic Research in Venice, Italy, a new alliance was formed; the International Combined Orthopaedic Research Societies. Nine organizations were selected and approved as the founding members; Australia/New Zealand ORS, British ORS, Canadian ORS, Chinese ORS, European ORS, Japanese Orthopaedic Association, Korean ORS, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the Taiwanese ORS.
